If you don't have the time for that special gift, or you don't have the photos you want, a gift certificate is the answer!
I do my charcoal drawings on toned paper, which allows me to bring out highlights in a lighter pastel. This gives a classic look - many Renaissance artists used the same technique - and a strong feeling of depth. I use high quality, dyed in the pulp, acid free paper, which is resistant to aging. The paper won't fade, turn yellow or become brittle. With proper framing, your charcoal portrait could last hundreds of years!
Generally, one subject will be drawn approximately 16" x 20", and more than one will be 20" x 25". Other sizes (up to 20" x 25") are available on request, but the price will not change.
